Portrait of Winged Baby

15x15'

2016

This painting explores the mysterious simplicity of infancy and memory. I use the symbol of putti, winged infant heads, to convey the whimsy and freedom that infants experience.

Clara

22x30'

2016

These portraits explore the idea of perception of others versus physical reality. I convey this idea by surrounding my subjects in symbolic environments. These environments illustrate my inner feelings about my subjects.

A series of watercolor studies of succulents.
